Hitting moving vehicles
Section titled “Hitting moving vehicles”1Use the hold marks
The marks in your scope show how far to lead a moving vehicle.
2Use terrain marks
Pick a building, tree or rock you can find every game. Over time, your past shots from that spot tell you exactly where to hold.
3Know your launcher
Every launcher has a slightly different rocket speed, which changes how far you have to lead.
4Practise
Play AT a lot. With experience you get a feel for how much to lead at different speeds and ranges.
Habits that save rockets
Section titled “Habits that save rockets”✓Do
- Save your stamina before a vehicle fight. Aiming without stamina is hard and can cost you the shot.
- Shoot from a kneeling or standing position in risky engagements.
- Only shoot at a helicopter when it’s stationary (resupplying a FOB) or landing.
✕Don't
- Go for hero shots: long-range rockets at moving vehicles waste ammo and give away your position.
- Shoot at flying helicopters. It rarely works, costs a lot of ammo and exposes you.
- Lie down in a risky fight. The prone animation is slow, and every movement knocks you out of your scope.
