Every player should know these terms.

Term Definition
Anchor A player who plays defensively in a small area. Their job is to stay alive and shoot pushing enemies. Usually paired with an aggressive buddy who pushes for ground and intel; the anchor holds the lane while that buddy respawns.
BTR / IFV Armoured fighting vehicles commonly used to support infantry.
Chokepoint Terrain that funnels movement into a narrow corridor, favouring the defender.
Droning One player rushes ahead with no regard for survival to cover ground and draw fire, so the rest of the squad can move up faster behind them.
Fishbowl One team surrounds the other and crossfires it, stopping it from leaving. The attackers tighten the ring until they are in HAB-proxy range and the defenders can’t respawn. Usually a death sentence for the defenders.
Flanking Approaching the enemy from the side or rear, avoiding their main defensive direction.
FOB Forward Operating Base. A deployable radio and supply structure for respawning and resupply.
HAB Hideout/Habitat. The actual spawn structure inside a FOB.
HAB proxy / “proxy” Shutting down the enemy’s spawn (HAB) so they can’t reinforce from it.
Lane A squad’s area of responsibility, usually set by the terrain. See the lane system.
Leaking / leakers Enemies getting through a frontline you don’t fully control into your rear.
Logi Logistics truck that carries supplies for building and ammo.
Open top Light vehicle whose gunner is exposed to small-arms fire.
Radio Another name for the FOB the SL places. Always say whether you mean a friendly or enemy radio: “radio on bleed” causes panic.
Radio bleeding The radio has been dug down and its 70-second destruction timer is running.
Radio saved A friendly radio you can’t hold is dug down by your own team before the enemy destroys it, so the team loses no tickets. Say “saved” so people don’t think tickets were lost.
Rally burned A rally destroyed because an enemy came within 30 m.
Rally burner A player whose job is to destroy enemy rallies: wide flanks, hiding in bushes, letting enemies run past, avoiding fights.
Rally jump / hop Leaving your squad while dead and joining another to spawn on their rally. See rally hopping.
RWS / “R-Dops” Light vehicle with a remote weapon station, so the gunner can’t be shot (e.g. Tigr, TAPV, M-ATV). Usually immune to small arms.
SL Squad Leader. Responsible for FOBs, markers and command.
SRP / Rally Squad Rally Point. A temporary respawn point placed by the SL.
Stabilise the lane Regain control of the whole lane. Usually after a mass-casualty event: spread out and play defensively until control and momentum are back.
Staged (radio / HAB) Dug down about 30 %, which changes the model. Below 70 % it is disabled: a staged HAB blocks spawns, and a staged radio disables every HAB in its build zone.
TD Ticket difference.
Ticket bleed Gradual ticket loss, usually from holding fewer objectives than the enemy.
VOD Video on demand: a recording of a match, used for review.
