Medic: spacing

A squad usually runs two medics. Where they stand decides whether the squad can recover from a bad moment, or loses everyone at once.

Each medic stays in the middle of their own half of the squad and looks after those players. Keep the two medics far apart: if one goes down, the other can still reach them.

  • Each medic looks after one half of the squad. Agree who covers whom at the start, and adjust when the squad splits into fireteams.
  • Stand in the middle of your half, so every player you cover is within a short run.
  • Keep your distance from the other medic. One grenade, burst or mortar round should never be able to take out both of you. If one medic goes down, the other picks them up first.
  • Everyone keeps their normal spacing: at least 15 m between players.
✓Do
  • Know which players are yours, and check their health often
  • Move when your half moves, staying in its middle
  • Tell the other medic when you go down, or when you need help with a revive
✕Don't
  • Stack up with the other medic behind the same wall
  • Both run to the same downed player
  • Lead from the front of your half. If you go down, nobody gets healed
