Rally points

The rally is your squad’s most important asset. It keeps momentum up and saves you a 300 m run back to your lane.

Much of the game is about burning enemy rallies and pushing them back, so sometimes holding fire and going for the rally burn is the better play.

120 s
Cooldown after placing a rally, even if it was blocked
50
Ammo to rearm a rally
50 m
Can’t place a rally with an enemy inside this range
30 m
Enemy inside this range burns the rally
35 m
Distance a rally can be heard from
RALLYenemy at 30 m
  • 50 m: cannot place a rally if an enemy is inside
  • 35 m: rally sound audible
  • 30 m: enemy inside = rally burned
  • 15 m: keep friendlies out when rally-scanning

Every rally spawns on a fixed second of each minute. You must be dead 20 seconds before the wave, or you’ll see that nasty 75-second wait. Give up about 15 seconds before to allow for the death animation and choosing the rally.

When a rally goes up, post its spawn second in chat right away. The SL who placed it should do this immediately, or on first spawning there.

SL of squad 3 places a rally at 1:52:17
  • squadSL 3“xx:17”
  • teamSL 3“R3 xx:17”
  • squadRifleman“Rally in twenty.”
  • The team chat post helps HATs and anyone rally hopping.
  • While you wait for the timer, call “Rally in 20” or “Rally in 40” so downed teammates can decide whether to give up.
  • Rally burned? Call it out and put a helmet marker on the old rally spot.

Rally hopping is used to defend a HAB or objective in a tight spot, or to reinforce a raid behind enemy lines.

An SL trick for checking whether an enemy is still hiding in a bush or compound nearby.

You need: the SL kit · no friendlies within 15 m (so you don’t actually place it) · the rally not on cooldown.

  1. Try to place a rally.
  2. No enemy nearby: you get “You need at least 1 squad member nearby…”
  3. Enemy within 50 m: you get “Unable to deploy a Rally point. Hostile forces nearby.”
