Light Anti-Tank

LATs are available to squads larger than three. Your job: kill enemy light vehicles, disrupt supply lines, and help friendly vehicles and HATs in their fights. But above all, you’re a support kit for your squad. Some factions also get fragmentation rockets, which add anti-infantry power at no cost.

30
Ammo per HEAT rocket (35 for the AT-4 and C-90)
~15 m
Arming distance (varies on some newer launchers)
2
Rockets to take out an IFV’s ammo rack
6
LAT (HEAT) rounds to disable a HAB

Factions have different LAT kits. Sometimes it’s the same launcher with a different rifle (scope or iron sights); sometimes the launcher itself differs. The USA, for example, can pick the AT-4 or the LAW. Choose what suits how you play.

Light vehicles → engine

An engine hit has the biggest ticket-difference impact.

IFVs → engine, then ammo rack

Engine, tracks or wheels first. Then the turret or ammo rack: even as a LAT you can take out an IFV’s ammo rack in two shots.

Tanks → tracks, then call it

Hit the engine or tracks, then coordinate immediately with a friendly HAT or vehicle. A LAT can’t really hurt a tank after that.

  • Play on the edges of the lane. That is where vehicles usually pass.
  • LATs have the fewest squad duties, which makes them ideal rally burners.
  • Save frag rockets for enemies dug into buildings.
